Coq Au Vin


This classic dish is made with boned free-range chicken thigh, real red wine (not cheap cooking wine), smoked bacon, silverskin onions and chestnut mushrooms.

Option 1) Defrost first and then tip out contents into a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes with a lid on. You may need to add a bit of water.
Option 2) Remove label from pouch and place pouch in barely simmering water for 40. The Coq au Vin will now be ready to serve but please be careful removing from the water/pouch.

Ingredients: Free-range chicken thigh, free-range chicken stock (free-range chicken carcasses, onions, carrots, leeks, celery, parsley, thyme, bay leaves, peppercorns), red wine(sulphites), chestnut mushrooms, silverskin onions, smoked bacon, sunflower oil, wheat flour(calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin),salt, black pepper.
